MYSTERY TEACHES US ABOUT COURAGE!!
A question often asked is “How do I get a wolf?” Simple answer—You don’t!!! In most states, you are required to have federal and state licenses. How do you get one? Ask your Animal Control and U.S.D.A officers. Are they free? No. Are they easy to get? I hope not!!! Wolves belong in the wild. Only one of our wolves has ever been “wild”.
Mystery was trapped by her foot and suffered a severe foot injury escaping the trap. She was then shot and left for dead. A friendly veterinarian treated her but was unable to find a place for her to call home. Thus, the origin of the St. Francis Wolf Sanctuary! It was all her fault! As seen from Mystery’s Then and Now pictures, if ever we made a difference, it was with Mystery! She has kindly repaid us in bounty! Mystery and her beautiful song inspire all who meet her!!!
Mystery is also affectionately known as “Fingers” because she enjoys “finger” foods. These must be restricted to special treats— which do NOT include those on the end of your hand. Mystery lives quite contently and in safety here at the Sanctuary. Just watch your fingers!!!
