2006 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On October 28, 2006 we celebrated our

4th Anniversary and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Bianca, wearing her Ambassador sash, walked with  Grandmother Jean and Austin to welcome everyone to the Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary.

"It was an honor for me to be able to meet and greet everyone who came out for our celebration! We all had so much fun, both two-legged and four!"

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Jean LeFevre presented Steve & Kathy Reeves with the scissors they used to cut the ribbon.

There is a tradition that when receiving a gift of knives or scissors, you must "pay" for them or it can "cut" your ties with that person. Here, John Wiesner is lending the Reeves a penny to pay for the scissors.

Yoda was the star of the show during his behavioral training presentation with Trainer Ken Bain and Volunteers.

Yoda walked proudly next to a guest who was wheelchair bound, wearing his ‘Ambassador in Training’ sash.

"I was happy to be able to show off my socialization skills. I have been trained to meet and interact with my two-legged friends who are in wheelchairs. She gave me GREAT ear scratches!"

We had a wonderful turn out and were able to raise over $1500 in donations, t-shirt sales and raffle tickets.

The Raffle was a great success!
