Who Are We?
The Seneca Indian Historical Society, Inc. is a non-profit educational institution which is dedicated to preserving and disseminating the teachings of the Wolf Clan Teaching Lodge.
The Seneca are one of the original Nations of the Five Nation Peace League of the Hadenosaune, known to European Colonists as the Iroquois Confederacy.
The Seneca were acknowledged
as the Philosophers of the League and lived primarily in the Western region of
Seneca society consisted of Clans who maintained their own Teaching Lodges. These lodges functioned as a place where the elders could share the wisdom and gifts of their clans.

Our programs are dedicated to teaching the Wisdom, Prophecy and Philosophy of the Seneca based on the teachings of Grandmother Twylah Hurd Nitsch. Our school develops certified teachers to disseminate the teachings world wide.
