Tissues, Tears & Treasured Memories
The eldest, Grandfather of Our Pack, life partner to Timbre (grandmother), brother to Yukon, beloved friend to our volunteers and to all who met him, peacefully passed away on March 11th, 2008. He was in the company of many loving people with whom he was comfortable with, and our amazing & caring veterinarian when he passed. Wacipi has rejoined Timbre and Yukon to run free, wild and forever healthy as they were meant to. Of course, each passing of one of the wolves impacts us deeply. Tears are shed and hearts are heavy as we grieve. However, we gain solace in the knowledge that each one, once brought to the Sanctuary, had a happy and fulfilling life. At the Sanctuary they are loved, pampered, adored, cared for, made to feel safe, and given the most comfortable, dignified & healthy life possible. Many of the wolves have already lived longer than what is normal for a wolf or even the most pampered dog! We are saddened by the loss of Wacipi, but also rejoice in his life and the honor of having known him. Click on the picture for a larger view. Remembrances and Pictures of Wacipi
